In the past 24 hours, his name has featured in an online business transaction, seeking deal among his many unsuspecting facebook friends.
Alerted by friends who were in doubt of the development, the Alara of Ara, Oba Dr Olubayo Adesola Windapo broke his silence and cautioned public against falling into trap of those he called hackers.
Oba Windapo, a medical doctor, said he was pained that a Facebook account, taken down about two years ago on account of fraudulent activities of hackers, resurfaced with the same fraudulent intent.
The Osun State traditional ruler declared, “I do not know anything about it and have no access to the account. Please disregard any messages from the account and do not fall victim. I have never operated a social account used to do business transaction with individuals and groups.”
While warning the hackers to desist from the act, Oba Windapo, however, charged government at all levels to seek ways to stem the raging tide of unemployment in the country, saying youths empowerment is important in nation’s building.
“Creation of jobs is key to development we crave in this country. If our youths are productively engaged, devil would find it tough to influence their thought to turn to criminals who live on sweat of others to survive. But turning to crime will always lead to destruction because no law will be pleased with criminal elements,” he concluded.
