A body of Islamic faithful in Port-Harcourt- Al-Usrah- has applauded Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun for his nod over appointment of the former Secretary-General of the group, Dr Saka Matemilola, as the Olowu of Owu Kingdom.
In a release jointly signed by its President, Prof. AbdulRazaq Kilani and Secretary-General Alh. Abiola Wasiu, Al-Usrah congratulated sons and daughters of Owu and urged the new Olowu to see his appointment as God’s gift as well as a divine duty call.
The release stated, “While we thank God who has spared your life to witness this day we ask Him to grant you a peaceful and eventful reign. May He grant you the wisdom to reign over your people. We are confident that you will bring your experience and exposure to bear and use these to the benefits of your kingdom reads part of the media release.”
