Alore TV started from facebook–founder

In the words of the resilient Mr Kazeem Olajide, the fast-growing online news magazine, Alore TV, is a journey of passion, journalism and digital innovation, first launched on facebook in 2014. In this interview with TheTabloid.net, the restless media practitioner offers an insight into his adventure as president of his organisation. Excerpts.

How did the Alore Tv take off?

It is the story of passion, resilience, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to journalism. I had already established myself in the media industry before launching the platform.

Can you be explicit here?

Having risen to the position of editor in a newspaper organization, I later transitioned into electronic media at the AK Media Concept, where I served as Head of Sales and Marketing. My deep love for journalism inspired me to establish the Alore TV on Facebook in 2014.

What was the idea behind the concept?

The idea was simple but ambitious: to remain connected to the profession I love while preserving and building upon the experience, relationships, and professional values I had developed during my years of service at the Aláròyé, Alárìyá Oòduà, and African Pride, an international magazine based in Italy.
Essentially, the Alore TV was founded on the principles of credibility, accessibility, professionalism, and innovation.

What was the vision in the beginning?

The platform was created to provide timely, accurate, and engaging news to audiences in Nigeria and across the globe.

Can you share more of your background in the industry?

I had already built a solid reputation having spent approximately 11 years practising journalism. My extensive experience in reporting, editing, interviewing, news gathering, content production, media management, sales, and marketing provided the foundation upon which the Alore TV was established at a time when digital journalism in Nigeria was still in its developmental stage.

How did it expand to what it is today?

As the media landscape evolved, we have expanded beyond Facebook and established a strong presence on YouTube, TikTok, and other digital platforms. This strategic expansion transformed the organization from a simple online news page into a multimedia broadcasting brand that combined traditional journalism with modern digital storytelling. Through video production, live interviews, documentaries, special reports, and short-form digital content, we have successfully adapted to the changing habits of modern news consumers.
