Makinde hosts Atiku, Okowa, Tambuwal, others in Ibadan

Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar; Vice Presidential Candidate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa; Sokoto State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal; Oyo State State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde; former Osun State Governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola; former Niger State Governor, Alhaji Aliyu Babangida; former Cross Rivers State Governor, Mr Liyel Imoke.

Osun State Governor-elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke; former Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayo Fayose; former Ondo State Governor, Dr Olusegun; former Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Sikiru Lawal, Ogun State Gubernatorial Candidate, Mr Ladi Adebutu, Lagos State Gubernatorial Candidate, Dr Olajide Adediran (Jandor), Lagos State Deputy Gubernatorial Candidate, Ms Funke Akindele.

The above names and many other top members of the PDP are currently in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital for what looks more of a reunion outing preparatory to the 2023 political challenge.

Though Atiku was received at the Ibadan Airport by Oyo State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Bayo Lawal, Oyo State Governor, Makinde hosted him in his office, after which they both arrived the Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall of the University College Hospital venue of the meeting with the South-West leadership of the PDP.

Mention of Senator Adeleke, during introduction of dignitaries, ignited a thunderous applause, and Adeleke didn’t disapoint members looking forward to see his dance. He did a light step which was welcomed with more applause.

Adeleke, in his speech, asserted his July 16, 2022 victory over the incumbent Governor Gboyega Oyetola, affirming that his electoral success over Oyetola is sacred.
