Varsity don alerts underdeveloped nations

Head, Department of Politics and International Relations, the Lead City University, Ibadan, Professor Akeem Amodu has raised alarm on the fate of the Third World countries in the global development.

Amodu articulated this recently in his paper titled ‘Translational Research and Networking As Panacea to Global Challenges’ and delivered at the 3rd Annual Conference of the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Ibadan.

The scholar said, “the continued disconnect between policy making and research findings in underdeveloped economies would continue to make those economies apt referents for underdevelopment. Networking between policymakers and researchers then becomes desirable towards closing the policy-research gap and engendering solutions to global challenges’.

After his session, Amodu was presented with a certificate. He expressed his gratitude to the hosting Provost, Staff and Students of Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Ibadan for finding him worthy of the invite to the occasion.

“Special thanks to the Deputy Provost (Academics) for presenting me the certificate as Lead Paper Presenter,” he said.
