Oyetola goes to Ijesa north today

Osun State Governor Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola is  more resolute to cover major landscape of the state in his current electioneering campaign to secure another four-year term in the service of the state.

The Adegboyega Oyetola Campaign Council has, therefore, notified that Oyetola would today visit Obokun, Obokun East LCDA, Oriade and Oriade South LCDA in Ijesa North Federal Constituency.

In a statement signed by Oluomo Sunday Akere, who directs the Media and Communication Directorate of the campaign council, the visit would avail the governor opportunity to speak on developmental projects his administration had done in the two local governments and Local Council Development Areas since he took over three years ago.

The statement affirmed that Oyetola would meet all traditional rulers at the palace of the Alademure of Ibokun where he will pay traditional homage to them.

It added that the entourage would later address party members, market men and women, artisans, members of ethnic groups and the general public at the open space at Ibokun Roundabout.

“On arriving at Ijebu-Jesa headquarters of Oriade local government, the Campaign Team will pay traditional homage on the Elegboro of Ijebu Jesa and other traditional rulers from the local government in his palace.

“The train will then move to Ijebu Jesa Grammar School, Ijebu Jesa where the Governor and his team will be received by party faithfuls, artisans, members of the public from all the wards in the local government.
In conclusion, all the people in the two local governments are enjoined to come out enmass and give a rousing welcome to the people’s Governor Alh Gboyega Oyetola as he forges ahead in his quests to take Osun State to the promised land,” it stated.

However, “the campaign schedule for Thursday and Friday will no longer hold as the National Campaign Council for the Osun Election will be inaugurated by the National headquarters of our party All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja on Thursday 23rd of June, 2022.

“Consequently, the APC campaign rally earlier scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 23rd for Osogbo Federal Constituency (Irepodun, Olorunda, Orolu and Osogbo Local Governments) is hereby postponed to Tuesday, June 28th, 2022; while that for Odo-Otin Local Government will now take place on Monday, July 4th, 2022.”
