The Okere of Saki, Oba Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi still is struggling with reality of the transition of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi (III), lamenting pains inflicted on him and Oke-Ogun axis by the development.
Oba Olabisi, said the death was shocking, stating that Oyo state, Yoruba race and entire nation has lost a great monarch, a patriot Yoruba ruler with rich knowledge and understanding.

Oba Adeyemi passed away April 22, 2022 at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.
His remains were brought to Oyo in the early hours of Saturday and received by his children at a place known as Idi-Igba while traditional rites began thereafter, leading to the final burial held later in the same day.
He was 83 years old.
