Leadership of the Great Ife Alumni Association recently paid a courtesy visit to the new Vice-chancellor of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Professor A.S Bamire during which they restated their commitment to development of the institution.
Global President, Great Ife Alumni Association, Engr. Wale Olaleye (FNSE) led the executive members to the Vice-Chancellor and assured him of continued support of the association
Prof. Bamire thanked his guests and the entire members of the association, home and abroad, for what he called the visible and sustainable impact the association has made on OAU over the decades.
The Vice-Chancellor urged the association not to relent on its laudable vision of giving developmental support to the university as OAU continues to grow, in terms of population and academic programs, among others.
Prof. Bamire, a 1985 Agricultural Economics Alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, was recently inaugurated the 12th Substantive Vice-Chancellor of the 60-year-old school.
