In recent weeks, many people have been experiencing unusually high temperatures. The intense heat has made daily activities more difficult and uncomfortable.

From students trying to concentrate in classrooms to workers carrying out their daily duties, the effects of the heat are being felt everywhere. As temperatures continue to rise, it becomes important to understand how to stay safe and maintain good health during this period.

One of the most important things during hot weather is staying hydrated. The body loses a lot of water through sweat, and if this water is not replaced, it can lead to dehydration. Drinking plenty of clean water helps the body regulate its temperature and function properly.

However, for many people who are currently observing the fasting period, drinking water during the day is not possible. In such cases, it becomes even more important to drink enough water during the early morning meal and after breaking the fast to help the body recover from the day’s heat.

Another helpful way to manage the heat is by wearing light and comfortable clothing. Clothes made from breathable materials such as cotton allow air to circulate and help the body stay cool. Light coloured clothing is also preferable because it reflects heat instead of absorbing it.

It is also advisable to reduce exposure to the sunlight during the hottest parts of the day, usually between late morning and mid afternoon. During this period, the sun’s heat is at its peak and can easily lead to heat exhaustion.

Whenever possible, people should stay indoors or seek shade to avoid direct sunlight.
