UI alumni becomes Ibadan radio station GM

In its sustained efforts to reposition the station to meet future demands, the management of the Pensioners FM 106.7, Onireke, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, has effected a reshuffle with elevation of an alumni of the University of Ibadan and the former Director of Programmes, Dr Babatunde Bamidele Tiamiyu to General Manager.

A letter dated August 20, 2021 and signed by the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Pensioners FM Global Venture, Comrade Dr Olusegun Abatan revealed that the appointment had taken effect from August 1, 2021

The new GM was the pioneer head of programmes and news after he had joined the Pensioners FM from the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Ibadan.

The Ede-born has made tremendous impacts in media industry, a feat which has earned him multiple professional and merit awards from recognised bodies.

“There is nothing to say other than thanking God for where He has taken me so far in my career. My appreciation also goes to our CEO and entire workforce with whom I have built a fruitful work relationship since I joined the station. This appointment is a new phase, a new challenge and impetus to double my efforts. With God, we shall take the station to the higher pedestal,” he assured.
