Unveiling event manager who staged KSA @7O show in Ile-Ife

The Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife hosted one among A-class shows marking the 70th birthday of Juju music legend, King Sunny Ade in 2016, an occasion attended by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Eniitan Ogunwusi and a galaxy of music stars.

Behind the successful party, which featured Tuface, Mega 99, King Dele Bravo and others, was the nostalgic Mr Seyi Odunuga, the Chief Executive Officer of Apreel 1 Event Management, who spoke with TheTabloid.net on the 75th birthday of KSA.

The all-smiling Odunuga remarked that of all great musicians he had worked with since inception of his entertainment company, KSA occupied a top position, in terms of professionalism, and humility which, according to him, was contrastive of his status as a global musician who performed at the 2012 Olympics hosted by Great Britain among other international appearances.

“In my career as entertainment industry stakeholder, my landmark accomplishment was the 70th birthday of King Sunday Isola Adeniyi Adegeye, which I organized in conjunction with founder of POA Classic Studio and the Sound Engineer of King Sunny Ade, Muyiwa Awotusin at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife.

“Knowing him has been so wonderful and memorable through musical tours in different continents of the world, Glo and Coca Cola advertisement productions. To say it all, his exemplary personality, coupled with his unique style of music, inspired me, Seyifunmi Odunuga of Apreel 1 Events Management to celebrate him,” he said.

Odunuga, however, lamented the state of the nation economy, describing it as albatross to entertainment industry. He said KSA deserved to be given grand celebration each year, including his 75th birthday.

Nonetheless, he marked the 75th in a low key on premise that “KSA’s presence has been one of the greatest gifts to the world of music. His music played and still plays a phenomenal role in the musical history. May God bless him beyond the comprehension of any human being.”
