Oyetola for Osun West today

Osun State Governor, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola is Osun West Senatorial District bound today in continuation of his campaign towards the July 16, 2022 gubernatorial election.

A statement issued by Directorate of Media and Communications, Oluomo Sunday Akere, confirmed that the governor would visit Aiyedire, Iwo and Ola Oluwa Local Government Councils.

The statement indicated that the visits would signal the commencement of the second phase of Oyetola campaign ahead of his re-election.

He would be received at Kuta where he would pay a traditional homage on the Olowu of Kuta, Oba Adekunle Oyelude Makama before moving to Ile Ogbo where the team will also greet the traditional rulers at the palace of Olu of Ile Ogbo, Oba Habeeb Adetoyese Agbaje before addressing party faithfuls at the Ile Ogbo Market Square.

“The team will later move to Bode Osi in Ola Oluwa Local Government where the Governor will greet royal fathers at the palace of Olubode of Bode Osi before addressing party faithfuls and members of the general public at the Bode Osi Market Square. The campaign train will then move to Iwo where the Governor will pay traditional homage to all royal fathers at the palace of Oluwo of Iwo.

“The Governor will later address artisans, market women, leaders of ethic groups, party members and members of the general public in the local government on what his administration has done in the past three and half years and what they stand to enjoy in his second term in office at the Oluwo Palace Square,” the statement said.

People of the hosting communities have, thus, been enjoined to come out in large number to welcome the governor and his entourage.

“The Media Directorate appeal to all and sundry to turn out enmass to receive the people’s Governor who has succeeded in turning the fortune of the state around in the past three and half years,” Akere said.
