In Ogun, police arrest two over sallah ram

Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command rounded up the duo of Adetunji Alagbe and Opeyemi Ogunlokun for allegedly stealing a Salah ram owned by one Sodiq Abolore.

The Tabloid.net gathered that the suspects were arrested following a report lodged at Ogijo Divisional Headquarters by one Sodiq Abolore that while he was sleeping in his house at about 3 am of July 5, he heard an unusual noise in his compound and peeped through the window only to discover that the iron gate, used to block the entrance where he kept his Salah ram, had been pulled down.

As confirmed by Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr Abimbola Oyeyemi, a deputy superintendent of police, the complainant came out and discovered that his Salah ram which he bought at the rate of N120,000 had been stolen.

He stated further that when he searched around, he sighted three men forcing his ram into a waiting Mazda car booth, a development which made him to raise alarm.

Oyeyemi explained, “distress call was made to the police. The three men were chased, and two amongst them were apprehended, while the other one escaped. The ram was recovered, and the two suspects were taken to custody. Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole, has ordered an indepth investigation of the case, with the view of charging the suspects to court as soon as possible.
