From the Ileogbo Golf Club and Resort in Ileogbo, Osun State where former Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola was treated to his 75th birthday golf kitty witnessed by old and young golfers, to the Oba Moses Oyinlola Memorial Anglican Church, Okuku, the prince of the town, through his mien, could not have asked for more befitting outing.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Oyinlola’s successor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makine and a host of other dignitaries were gathered in a relaxing ambience, glaringly expressing political harmony on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
TheTabloid.net gathered that the golf tournament was organised by founder of the Resort, Engineer Lanre Adeleke to mark Oyinlola’s contribution to the game as well as his service to the state and beyond.
Reception, which followed the church service, wore a colour which depicted Oyinlola’s modest taste for his private functions. When he stepped forward to dance, he was closely accompanied to the floor by Aregbesola, both of whom, standing before a live band, displayed dance skills which was their trade mark during their respective admnistration as Osun State governors.
At almost every public function where drummers were present, Oyinlola and Aregbesola would always regal the audience with dance steps which instantly infected members of their cabinets and political aides.
At the reception, Obasanjo was spotted in a gyration mood with members of kegites club after he had served himself a glass of palmwine to the amazement of watching guests, some of whom had probably never saw him in that spectacle.
Aregbesola used the occasion to recall his history with Oyinlola whom, he said, supported him to win his second term in office in 2014, adding he would find it difficult to forget Oyinlola’s solidarity at that critical moment of his political life.

This, in itself, is the hallmark of a true leader who leaves a lasting imprint wherever he goes,” Aregbesola enthused.
