UK-based APC women leader, others inaugurated in Abuja

A UK-based women leader of the rulling All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaja Aolat Oluwatomisin Sule and others were today inaugurated as leaders of the women campaign team in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Last week, reports had it that Sule and her fellows were appointed as members of the Diaspora Mobilization Committee ahead of the party’s presidential campaign.

Soon afterwards, Sule broke the news on her official Facebook page.

She wrote, “Discovering the tomb of Jesus is a pointer to our historicity. It was reported some women first saw the risen Christ, they include; Joanna, Mary Magdalene, Mary and others.

“Women made history today in Nigeria as our party, APC, launched the Tinubu/Shettima Women Presidential Campaign team at the state House banqueting Hall, Abuja and I am part of the team. Thank you, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, Senator Oluremi Tinubu OON, Hajiya Nana Shettima, Dr. Betta Edu, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa.”

The epoch-making event, which took place at the Presidential Villa, was graced by dignitaries of the party. It recorded the presence of Tinubu, his vice presidential candidate, Alhaji Shetima and their wives; Kano State Governor, Dr Abdulahi Ganduje and other top members of the party were also in attendance.

At the inauguration, Tinubu described himself as the person who knows the road and could show it.

Meanwhile, the APC National Women leader, Dr Betta Edu restated the resolve of the womenfolk to take the good news of the party’s presidential candidate to anywhere under the sun.
