Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola has been described as a God-fearing man for speedy payment of the state workers’ salary.
The Commissioner of Political Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations, Taiwo Akeju made the declaration and also called Oyetola a governor blessed with midas touch by his noiseless model of governance.
Akeju specifically attested that by 24 or 25 day of every month, Osun workers’ salary accounts were credited.
He affirmed that the act was a demonstration of Oyetola’s understanding of public administration, which, according to him, is supposed to be masses-oriented.
“When workers are happy, the governor is happy. If otherwise, the governor will be affected, and government work will stagnate. Governor Oyetola understands this, hence his quick payment of workers’ salary even ahead of the federal government,” he said.
Akeju dismissed a certain publication on 2022 governorship election in the state, describing it as faceless and, thus, lacking credibility.
He clarified that stakeholders in Osun West Senatorial District, including all elective offices holders, were loyal to Governor Oyetola who is the constitutional leader of the party in the state.
“I hope you saw the press conference later held and quality of attendance. That is an indication that the unsigned publication is a ruse which no one should take serious. In fact, Governor Oyetola is too busy with his developmental assignments to create time for such a comedy,” he noted.
