In its bid to transform Nigeria healthcare sector, an interest group, KB Klub, has organised its 2024 edition of the STACK Reform Conference.
The conference, tagged “Fast Forward: Nigeria’s Giant Leap Into the Future of Healthcare was targeted towards redefining how healthcare is being delivered, received and experienced in the country through the use of AI-powered diagnosis tools.
The conference was held at the prestigious J.F. Ade Ajayi Auditorium, University of Lagos, Akoka.
The 2025 conference brought together a diverse community of healthcare professionals, tech innovators, educators, and students.
The keynote addresses were delivered by leading voice in the health and technology sectors. Dr. Leke Ojewale, Senior Technical Adviser on Digital Health to Nigeria’s Federal Minister of Health, spoke passionately about empowering the future of country’s healthcare system while Dr Olatokunbo Alli, the Managing Director at Leadway Health, highlighted the urgency of achieving universal health coverage among others.
The panel session also brought together tech entrepreneurs, healthcare practitioners, and policymakers for an engaging debate.
The session explored challenges such as limited infrastructure, funding constraints, and regulatory hurdles while highlighting opportunities to leverage health-tech innovations.
During the event, six Lagos-based schools also delivered eloquent speeches on topics such as “How Technology Will Shape Healthcare in the Next Decade” and “Should AI Replace Healthcare Professionals”
The KB Klub is committed to building on this year’s success, aiming even greater strides in health-tech innovation with plans already underway for the 2025.
