Commissioner for Federal Affairs, Mrs. Adenike Adeleke has resumed office in Osogbo and promised to work with relevant partners to facilitate inclusive growth for Osun state, noting her readiness to resolve all iimpediments long denying the state the benefits of all assets in the federal capital territory.
The commissioner enjoined staffs of the ministry and agencies under her supervision to key into the five point agenda of Governor Ademola Adeleke.
She acknowledged the role of the Ministry in tapping into opportunities for the state at the federal level, disclosing to all the Directors and Programme Managers in a meeting at the Ministry of her desire to fast track collaboration with the central government to the benefits of Osun people.
The Commissioner, who embarked on a tour of facilities in the Ministry, noted her commitment to an improved working condition for workers in the Ministry in order to guaranteed optimal performance, charging them to rededicate themselves to the mandate of the Ministry.
During the week, the Commissioner made a trip to the Liaison Office in Abuja, where she met the Director and all staff, and discussed her plan to ensure better service. She also visited the Asokoro Governor’s lodge, tasking all personnel to show renewed commitment to their duties.
She took a tour of all properties belonging to Osun state in the federal capital territory, declaring resolve to address issues on some of them and make sure the state enjoys value for the investment put into them.
Adeleke was particularly worried at the deplorable condition of the abandoned Osun House in the Central area of Wuse 2, promising to look into the issues denying the state the prospect of the project, while also expressing readiness to focus on assets belonging to the state under litigation.
